People: RBNZ appoints assistant governor

Angus McGregor has been acting assistant governor for financial stability at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand since March 2025, and will now take up the position on a permanent basis. The bank said on July 2 that governor Anna Breman formally appointed McGregor after an “extensive recruitment process”.
