Olaf Sleijpen succeeded Klaas Knot as president of the Netherlands Bank (DNB) on July 1. Sleijpen was previously an executive board member responsible for the bank’s monetary affairs portfolio. He will serve a seven-year term as president. His former position will remain vacant until the DNB’s supervisory board has chosen a successor.
