People: Olli Rehn to chair ECB’s audit committee

The European Central Bank has appointed Olli Rehn, the governor of the Bank of Finland, to chair its audit committee. He succeeds the former president of the Netherlands Bank, Klaas Knot, whose term ended on July 1. On the committee, Rehn will serve alongside Luis de Guindos, ECB vice-president; Pervenche Berès, French former member of the European Parliament; Ardo Hansson, former governor of the Bank of Estonia; and Gaston Reinesch, the current governor of the Central Bank of Luxembourg.
