Olaf Sleijpen to step up to DNB presidency

Klaas Knot says his successor embodies “substance, integrity and the ability to forge connections”

Olaf Sleijpen will succeed Klaas Knot as president of the Netherlands Bank (DNB) from July 1.

The current executive board member, who has been responsible for the bank’s monetary affairs portfolio, will serve a seven-year term as president. His current position will remain vacant until the DNB’s supervisory board has chosen a successor.

In the bank’s announcement of the appointment today (June 13), Knot said he was proud of everything the DNB had achieved under his leadership.
