ECB nominates Bundesbank’s Buch as new head of supervision
Governing council votes for German official over Bank of Spain deputy governor
The European Central Bank’s governing council today (September 13) nominated Deutsche Bundesbank vice-president Claudia Buch as the new head of the central bank’s supervisory board.
Buch is set to replace Andrea Enria, whose non-renewable five-year term expires in December. The final decision falls to the European parliament, which will vote on Buch’s appointment after a public hearing with her next week.
