Bullard steps down as St Louis Fed president
FOMC hawk will become dean of Purdue Business School after 15 years leading regional Fed
James Bullard has resigned as president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St Louis, ending 15 years at the head of the institution.
Bullard said he had resigned on July 13, but would remain on staff as an adviser until August 14. First vice-president Kathleen O’Neill Paese has become the bank’s acting president and CEO.
Bullard is leaving to become the first dean of the new business school at Purdue University, a public university in Indiana, starting August 15.
