
Thugge confirmed as next Kenya governor
Kenya’s national assembly confirmed Kamau Thugge as governor of the country’s central bank yesterday (June 7)
Thugge will succeed Patrick Njoroge, whose second and final four-year term as governor ends on June 17. Kenyan president William Ruto chose Thugge, who has been one of his economic advisers, as his nominee last month, from a shortlist prepared by a commission.
