Costa Rican president-elect names next governor

Róger Madrigal López will lead central bank once new administration takes office on May 8

The president-elect of Costa Rica, Rodrigo Chaves Robles, announced he would name Róger Madrigal López the next governor of the central bank upon taking office.

Chaves made the announcement at an April 29 press conference, when he also revealed his choices to lead the finance and economy ministries. His inauguration is scheduled for May 8.
