São Tomé governor replaced

The government of São Tomé and Príncipe removed central bank governor Américo Barros on March 25, according to Portuguese news agency Lusa.

Press reports indicate that the government selected Eugénio Soares as the new governor. Soares was serving as executive director for financial systems supervision at the central bank.
