IMF and ECB heads say central banks must increase representation of women

The International Monetary Fund’s managing director said today (May 20) that the representation of women in senior roles within the financial industry was “pathetic”.

Kristalina Georgieva said financial institutions with more women in senior roles tend to have lower levels of non-performing loans and better financial stability.
