People: UK’s FCA appoints head of ESG
Burundian senior officials switch roles and senior Vietnamese supervisor is promoted
UK: The Financial Conduct Authority has appointed Sacha Sadan to the newly created role of director of environment social and governance matters, or ESG.
Sadan will be responsible for developing the regulator’s approach to sustainable finance both domestically and internationally.
The FCA said that its development of ESG policy aimed to ensure “the long-term safety and soundness of firms, the proper functioning of markets and the protection of consumers”.
