People: Colombia appoints new policy board member
Roberto Steiner joins the Central Bank of Colombia; UK FCA appoints chief economist; new PSR head named
Colombia: Roberto Steiner has been appointed to the board of the Central Bank of Colombia by the country’s president, Iván Duque.
The central bank welcomed the appointment and said Steiner is a “prominent” economist, based at the University of the Andes in Bogota. He was previously executive director of Fedesarollo, a non-profit economic and social research centre, and served as alternate executive director at the International Monetary Fund.
