US: Nominee to the Federal Reserve board of governors Nellie Liang withdrew from the process on January 7.

“I have decided to withdraw my name from consideration to be a member of the board of governors of the Federal Reserve because the likelihood of a prolonged process could have left me in professional limbo for too long,” said Liang in a statement.

President Donald Trump had nominated Liang in September 2018 for the remainder of a 14-year term due to expire on January 31, 2024.
