Improving diversity in the research department has taken concerted effort, says Mary Daly

Breaking the perception that the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s research department was an “old boys’ club” has taken a lot of effort, according to Mary Daly, who heads the department.

In an article published on June 4, based on remarks delivered recently at the Bank of England, Daly says female candidates for research assistants had been turning down job offers “year after year”.
