Yellen to join former Fed colleagues at Brookings
Janet Yellen returns to her research roots with position at Brookings Institution
Janet Yellen is taking up a position at Washington DC research group Brookings, the institution revealed on February 2, her last day at the Federal Reserve.
Yellen is now distinguished fellow in residence at the Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy, where her office will be “down the hall” from Ben Bernanke, her predecessor as Fed chair, as well as other senior retired Fed officials, including Don Kohn and Nellie Liang.
Yellen will work on Brookings’ economic studies programme
