Ben Bernanke joins Brookings; State Bank of Pakistan promotes deputy to acting governor

Federal Reserve: Ben Bernanke, who stepped down after eight years as chair of the Federal Reserve on Friday, today joined the Brookings Institution's Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy as a Distinguished Fellow in Residence, the Washington think-tank said in a statement.
