BIS shifts strategy ahead of 100th anniversary

‘BIS 100’ aims for resilience in complex environment, as bank sets new income record

The Bank for International Settlements announced a change in strategic direction today (June 28), as it looks to build resilience in a complex global environment.

The new strategy, BIS 100, will guide the institution until it hits the 100th anniversary of its founding in 2030. Whereas the previous strategy, under former general manager Agustín Carstens, had innovation as its key goal, his successor Pablo Hernández de Cos has shifted the focus to resilience.
