Six in 10 at ECB do not trust Lagarde – staff union survey

Survey shows frustration at career progression, employment uncertainty and HR over past decade

Staff satisfaction at the European Central Bank is continuing to decline, according to the results of a survey by one of the bank’s staff unions, Ipso.

The report, which has been seen by Central Banking, says levels of trust in both the bank’s executive board and its president, Christine Lagarde, have fallen over the past decade, and particularly over the past three years.

Some 57% of respondents had “low or no trust at all” in Lagarde, while 52% said the same of the executive board. This was in
