Fan Yifei admits to accepting benefits from businesspeople on state broadcaster

Former Chinese central bank deputy governor Fan Yifei confessed in a televised broadcast that he had accepted benefits from businesspeople via his family members while he was a central bank official. 

“I wanted to be an official and be rich at the same time,” Fan said in a documentary aired by state broadcaster China Central Television on January 9. “I was completely wrong,” he said.
