Bank of Russia deputy governor appointed and monetary policy head retires

The Bank of Russia has announced the appointment of a new deputy governor and the resignation of the long-serving head of its monetary policy department.

It also appears to have raised the status of its internal security operation.

The central bank has appointed Andrey Kruzhalov its deputy governor, it announced on June 20. Kruzhalov was previously the central bank’s chief accountant and director of its accounting and reporting department.
