Ukrainian central bank appoints first deputy and deputy governors

The council of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has appointed the supervisor who was a key figure in the clean-up of the country’s banking sector to the role of first deputy governor.

The central bank has also appointed a new deputy governor, with responsibility for payment systems, it announced on June 15.

Ukraine’s senior banking supervisor, Kateryna Rozhkova, was named as first deputy governor, the second-most senior post at the central bank. The position was previously held by Yakiv
