Nicky Morgan: pressure on BoE to improve gender diversity

The UK Treasury has been asked to publish recent historical data about applicants to jobs on the senior policy boards of the Bank of England, following concerns the central bank’s senior management is lacking in diversity.

In a letter to chancellor Philip Hammond, new chair of the Treasury Select Committee Nicky Morgan expressed concerns about the “composition of the policy committees” following the appointment of another white male to the Bank of England’s ranks.
