New Zealand opposition says RBNZ internal review backs case for more transparency

New Zealand's Green Party has obtained an internal report from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ), which they say supports their call to open up the monetary policy decision-making process in the RBNZ from being dominated by the governor.

Adjustments were made to the RBNZ's decision-making process in March, when governor Graeme Wheeler announced that monetary policy would henceforth be set by a committee comprising the governor and three deputy governors, with the former retaining a veto –
