Macedonia’s Kadievska: DLT could ‘completely replace’ some intermediaries

The vice-governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia has said the emergence of digital technology could pose challenges for central banks in the future.

In her opening remarks at the Conference on Payments and Market Infrastructure, Maja Kadievska said advancements in fintech could pose a threat in the context of digital banking and digital transformation.
