Central bank planning further DLT prototypes, deputy governor says

Russia's central bank has carried out trials for a "networking tool" for market participants using distributed ledger technology (DLT), it announced on October 5.

The "Masterchain" system will allow the prompt confirmation of data to customers, the bank says in a statement. Russia's "biggest banks" carried out the first test transactions using the system, the statement adds.
