CPMI report reviews the ‘growing involvement’ of non-banks in retail payments

Central banks should be alert to the "growing involvement" of non-banks in retail payments, and how this will impact the distribution of risk and competitive balance in the system, according to a report published today by the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures (CPMI).
