Zambia plans to start printing new currency by May

The Bank of Zambia has revealed that the printing, minting and distribution of new banknotes and coins following the rebasing of the kwacha will be under way by May this year.

"In accordance with our roadmap, the printing and minting of the banknotes and coins is scheduled to start anytime going into May and onwards," says Bank of Zambia spokesperson, Kanguya Mayondi.
