Sweden picks famous faces for new banknotes

The Riksbank on Wednesday revealed the motifs set to adorn the country's new banknotes. The central bank's general council decided that author Astrid Lingren, singer Evert Taube, actress Greta Garbo, director, writer and producer Ingmar Bergman, singer Birgit Nilsson and former UN secretary-general Dag Hammarskjöld, will be pictured on the notes.

Riksbank issued a report on March 10 outlining plans and reasons for the reissuance of the banknote and coin series in Sweden. The main reasons given
