
Lebanon increases monthly withdrawal limits
Central bank aims to ease pressures on depositors amid ongoing financial crisis

The Central Bank of Lebanon (BdL) has announced an increase in monthly withdrawal ceilings amid the country’s ongoing financial crisis, local media reported.
From July 1, the monthly withdrawal limit under circular 158 – issued by the central bank in June 2021 – will rise from $500 to $800. The limit for circular 166 – which came into existence in February 2024 and covers beneficiaries who did not benefit from circular 158 – will rise from $250 to $400.
