Lebanese central bank increases withdrawal allowances for month

Equivalent of two monthly payments allowed in view of Israeli attacks

Lebanon’s central bank has announced it will allow bank depositors to withdraw twice the usual amount in November in view of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah.

Media reports said the Central Bank of Lebanon made the announcement on October 31, adding it would be valid just for November. Sources in Lebanon confirmed to Central Banking that the reports were accurate.
