Bangladesh Bank website hacked by protestors
Other government websites also inaccessible amid crackdown on protests
Bangladesh’s central bank website continues to be inaccessible after being hacked last week by anti-government protesters.
The homepage for Bangladesh Bank displays a message claiming the site has been taken over by a group calling itself “THE R3SISTANC3”.
The message calls on the authorities to stop its violent crackdown on demonstrators, many of whom are students. According to media reports, more than 150 people have been killed over recent weeks in the protests, which have focused on quotas
