
World has ‘very little space’ for policy, says Georgieva

The world is transitioning from predictability to “shock upon shock”, demanding a difficult balancing act from global institutions, said Kristalina Georgieva.
Even so, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund said on October 13 that central banks can overcome the current inflationary crisis.
“Inflation is stubborn but central banks can be more stubborn,” said Georgieva. She said central banks’ number one priority now is “to win the fight against inflation”.
