New BoE climate risk scenarios spark race for extra data

The BoE's relaunched test is built on new climate scenarios created by the NGFS

The Bank of England’s first climate stress test contains a level of detail not seen in any previous supervisory test on climate change, posing new data challenges for banks, say experts. But that still doesn’t mean the scenarios are tough enough to be realistic.
