NGFS to increase study of monetary policy’s climate implications, head of secretariat says

It would be a “game changer” if the Federal Reserve joined the Network for Greening the Financial System, the head of the group’s secretariat said.  

Speaking at Central Banking’s Climate Risk event today (December 10), Morgan Després also said that studying the interaction of monetary policy and environmental risk would be a priority for the NGFS in 2021.
