Covid-19 will not delay World Economic Outlook – IMF’s Rice

Communications director says reports will be published as normal

The International Monetary Fund held its press briefing virtually this week, in an effort to slow the spread of Covid-19. Comms chief Gerry Rice stressed the IMF’s flagship forecast reports would not be delayed by the outbreak.

Media outlets were asked to send their questions in advance of the virtual meeting to aid the process. There was also the opportunity to ask real-time questions through the live feed.

Rice dedicated the first part of the conference to addressing concerns about the virus
