ECB appoints administrators to run Italian bank Carige

The European Central Bank appointed temporary administrators to take charge of an Italian commercial bank, Banca Carige, it said in a statement issued today (January 2).

The ECB said it had appointed three administrators as well as a three-member surveillance committee to run the bank and replace Banca Carige’s board of directors.
