Olsen highlights the importance of responsible investment

New ethics rules saw numerous companies excluded from the GPFG last year

The governor of Norges bank has said it is “crucial” the nation’s pension fund is not perceived as a political instrument.

Speaking in Oslo on May 2, Øystein Olsen underscored the importance of sound management when it came to the Government Pension Fund Global (GPFG).

“Norges Bank aims to be at the forefront of global efforts in the area of responsible investment. Responsible investment is an integral part of the investment strategy and includes the exclusion of companies on an ethical basis
