Bank of Mexico deputy governor considers effectiveness of tools
Bank of Mexico deputy governor Manuel Sánchez stressed the importance of keeping expectations "realistic" with regard to what can be achieved through macro-prudential tools, during a presentation in Windsor, at the Central Banking Spring Training Series.
Considering the effectiveness of macro-prudential tools, Sánchez pointed to research showing they "may have some effect on certain variables taken as leading indicators of problems", but said this "does not necessarily imply control over
