Mexican deputy says financial system must be broadened and deepened

Manuel Sánchez says Mexico has a way to go on financial inclusion

Mexico's future financial development rests on two "significant and interrelated challenges": greater deepening and wider inclusion, according to central bank deputy governor Manuel Sánchez, in a speech he gave in Beijing on Wednesday.

Having given an overview of the challenges facing China's financial development, Sánchez turned to his home country and pointed out that Mexico has one of "the lowest ratios of credit to the private sector relative to GDP" and room for improvement in the "coverage
