BoE's Financial Policy Committee ‘most fashionable backstop in town'
The Bank of England's Financial Policy Committee (FPC) may have to pick up their "high-pressure hoses" in the role of financial fire-fighters, and make "counter-popular" decisions in its new role as "the most fashionable backstop in town", according to FPC external member Martin Taylor.
