BoE's financial policy committee publishes latest minutes

The recent pickup in long-term interest rates did not significantly impact financial institutions, according to the minutes from the UK's Financial Policy Committee's (FPC) meeting on September 18, which added that this was consistent with the Bank of England's (BoE) own analysis.

But the FPC also said that firms had only assumed a moderate increase in long-term rates, which may not be enough if interest rates overshoot for unanticipated reasons, rather than as a result of stronger economic
