Kuwaiti central bank details triumvirate of stress tests

The Central Bank of Kuwait has outlined the measures it has taken to upgrade its oversight efforts, including extensive stress-testing, in its annual report for the fiscal year ending in March 2013.

Throughout the year, the report said, it has taken the "necessary measures" to strengthen banks' risk management by "assuring and examining the effectiveness of the financial stress tests" they run.

The central bank uses three types of stress tests. One takes into account risks to the banking sector
