BoE survey shows businesses credit increased ‘significantly’ in fourth quarter

A Bank of England survey reveals the availability of credit to the UK corporate sector increased "significantly" in the fourth quarter of 2012, although a disparity is evident as large and medium-sized business received the majority of loans.

The survey, which asks lenders to report on credit conditions during the quarter, found that overall credit availability to the corporate sector increased for the first time in a year and lenders also expect a further increase of credit in the first quarter
