Bank of Lithuania approves guidelines on financial services advertising

The Bank of Lithuania on September 6 approved new guidelines on advertising financial services, which aim to boost the quality of advertising and improve the provision of information to potential customers.

In a statement, Vilius Šapoka, the director of the central bank's financial services and markets supervision department, said the need for clearer guidelines had emerged after the Bank of Lithuania took over financial market supervision in January this year.
