Global liquidity surge continuing, BIS figures show

Lending to non-banks continues to lead cross-border credit expansion

The rapid growth in cross-border credit flows continued in the third quarter of 2025, the latest global liquidity data published by the Bank for International Settlements shows.

The figures, published today (January 29), show cross-border bank lending had grown at an annual rate of close to 10% in Q3 2025, broadly unchanged from the previous quarter.
