The use of artificial intelligence in central banks is proliferating and officials are weighing up the best practices, officials told a panel at the Central Banking Meetings London.

During the discussion, central bankers spoke about the internal data tools that had been developed so far, the degree to which AI was involved in banking supervision, and how open institutions were in collaborating with each other. 

The panel comprised officials from three eurozone central banks and one from a non-EU
