Canada not looking to change exchange regime in 2021 review – Schembri

The Bank of Canada is not looking to change its flexible exchange rate regime during the 2021 monetary policy framework review, deputy governor Lawrence Schembri said in a speech on June 17.

While the central bank is unlikely to alter its floating exchange rate policy, policy-makers must review even successful regimes regularly, Schembri added.
