Established in May 1992. The main tasks of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan involve: the implementation of effective integrated state monetary policy; organisation of the cash circulation; support to effective functioning of the settlement and payment system; organisation of the banking regulation and banking supervision; maintaining of price stability; safeguarding of the interests of lending institutions’ creditors and depositors; combating of legalisation of criminal proceeds
