Kuroda sees little difference between major central banks
BoJ governor says they are all concerned with both unemployment and inflation
There is little practical difference between the policy aims of major central banks, despite the different wording of their mandates, Bank of Japan governor Haruhiko Kuroda argued on May 23.
Unemployment is "still a useful guide" for the Bank of Japan even though it sets policy with the objective of achieving price stability, he told an audience at the European Central Bank (ECB) Forum on Central Banking in Sintra, Portugal.
