Need for accurate economic information ‘ever more critical' says governor

The Zambian media bears a "great responsibility of keeping the public as well informed as possible" on economic and monetary affairs, according to Michael Gondwe, governor of the Bank of Zambia, which held a three-day seminar for the media at the end of last week.

Opening the seminar, Gondwe said that as the Zambian "economy grows and as the business environment remains attractive, the need for accurate, current information and news about the domestic economy and financial markets, the region
